Why did it take me so long to come to Black Ruby? I’d been meaning to go for a while now, so when a good friend decided to have her birthday there I was looking forward to checking it out.
What a gem! Very cute little restaurant with a cosy and friendly feel and the best thing is that the entire menu is gluten free!
For a quick snack before dinner we tried the garlic bread – the bread was really nice, if you didn’t know it was gluten free you wouldn’t notice anything different about it.
For mains most people on the table had meat dishes but there is also a good range of pasta. The food was really really beautiful, I was really impressed. Pictured below is the steak main and the salmon main.
For those with a sweet tooth there is also a good range of desserts, including chocolate crepes and apple strudel pictured below.
I can’t recommend this place highly enough, it really is the complete package. I’d recommend booking as it’s quite small and fills up quickly. They don’t have a website but their contact number is 9348 2777.
